So here's the deal: All my adult life I've been focusing on my music career: Singer-Songwriter, Recording Artist. I love music. I've played piano since I was 4 and can sing your socks off. But now I want to focus more on my acting (childhood passion) and hosting talents, and I love anything that's quirky and FUNNY!  I also paint giant canvases. I happen to be a U.S/Australian dual Citizen. I write a lot. I am seriously ambitious but don't take myself too seriously. I'm enjoying the journey and living my dream.

GILLI MOON: Born in Milan, Italy and raised in Sydney, Australia. An only child. Went to high school in Gosford, N.S.W, Australia, when her parents moved from Sydney to live on acreage within a forest near the Hunter Valley. Resides in Los Angeles but has called Sydney, New York, London and Rome her homes. Also known as a music recording artist, singer-songwriter, motivational speaker and author.  Daughter of Claude Aliotti, actor in the sixties in Rome, Italy who has worked with Kirk Douglas, David McCallum, Harvey Korman.

Gilli (pronounced as with a ‘j’) started classical piano since she was four years old, singing and dancing by eight and writing songs since she was ten. She was the always the kid on the block recruiting neighbors’ kids to put on a play. She was born to be an entertainer and an entrepreneurial one at that.

By her teens Gilli loved the theater and was the Lead in every musical she performed in, including Oliver in "Oliver" (they couldn’t find the right “guy”), Dorothy in the "Wizard of Oz", Liesl in the "Sound of Music" and the Narrator in "Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat".

After graduating from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Education (Visual Arts, majoring in Film) – and while there producing “Grease” for the college, creating a surplus for their budget in her final year) - Gilli set flight to New York City, with her eyes on Broadway. There, she worked in theater as an assistant stage manager for an off-Broadway 'modern Hamlet' style play called "The Best Part". While in New York she began writing a musical based on the entertainment industry, plus a series of original songs for the score and for her first CD music album.

Unsettled in NY, Gilli followed her roots to Italy, where she landed a job of a lifetime as assistant producer to the Opera "Tosca" which was televised live around the world to 144 countries, and starred Placido Domingo, with Zubin Mehta conducting. 

With the experience she gained overseas, gilli returned to Australia and set up her own production company, joined the June Reilly Agency for acting and began recording her first music album. 

Various short films, theatre roles, voice over and music came next, until in ’97, she searched more bright lights. Los Angeles, California has been, to date, the best base for Gilli Moon where she threw herself into the music business. Home for the last 12 years, Gilli has forged an unsurpassed independent music career, producing 6 albums, 8 music videos (MTV, VHI) touring the country, and performing with world-class artists including Simple Minds and Eric Idle (Monty Python). She runs her own record company, Warrior Girl Music, and has created a non-profit organization for songwriters called Songsalive!

In 2003 gilli began to combine her music (which she had been focusing on for almost 10 years) and her love of theatre. She created her first One Woman Show which is a 1 hour music, song and monologue show about her life as an artist, woman, troubadour and adventurer. That year, she toured the United States 3 times and Australia with her One Woman Show and released a CD called "Woman" as part of the project. She was invited to put on her One Woman Show on Broadway in 2004.

That same year, Gilli landed a unique position as featured performer for Eric Idle's (Monty Python) "Greedy Bastard Tour". They toured the United States and Canada for 3 months, delivering a 2 hour show of comedy and song to over fifty 1500+ seat theaters, including the Town Hall on Broadway, and Henry Fonda Theater in Los Angeles. . This tour, including Gilli’s involvement, was the focus of Eric Idle’s book The Greedy Bastard Diary: A Comic Tour of America published worldwide in 2004.

In 2004, Gilli created and hosted a monthly "TV Style" music show on the internet called the Songsalive! Webcast (1 year, every month: 12 episodes) presenting in-studio performers, music videos, and hot music topic discussions. It also included online, chat session (fans chatting  live in the studio) -2000 viewers every month.

Gilli’s music career meanwhile, continued to take her on incredible global adventures, touring various nations with her band and releasing albums. With her latest (6th) album “the stillness” (2010) she garnering success and press worldwide, as well as released 4 new music videos on VHI and MTV. She loves combining her music, and her performing, with film. 

Gilli has received numerous press reviews for her courage, power and dynamic energy as an artist and inspiration for other artists. Recently she was interviewed by Newsweek Magazine, and 60 Minutes (Australia) for her rise as an artist.

Things have gone so well in the music biz, she is regularly asked to speak at music conferences around the world to up and coming artists on how they can achieve success in the new music industry using the Internet and Social Networking strategies – becoming a beacon for other artists to learn and discover a career in the business. Speaking and running workshops has inspired her desire to do more hosting, whether live or for TV. In conjunction, Gilli has written 2 motivational books for artists, “I Am A Professional Artist” and “Just Get Out There.”

In her exploration as a creator, Gilli created (wrote, filmed) a couple of funny short films in her alter ego: “Fleur Flem”- a very (not so) serious evening news host, interviewing very (not-so) important people. Her interviewees are in fact her… chin.  

Gilli is also an educator with a Bachelor of Education in Visual Arts (majoring in Film & Photography); as well as a certified professional coach. She loves working with kids, having written songs, performed shows and has run a Rock Music Camp for kids.

She co-created, with husband and artist J.Walker, the Skillz Project, which combines music and theater, to perform educational and positive performances for youth. They have performed across the USA since 2005 with these shows to great success.

A strong focus for Gilli in 2011/2012 is to forge her path as a television and film actor (improv and comedy being her focus), and continue her hosting, plus of course her music.

In her spare time, Gilli is writing her first musical film script and score, and developing a documentary, both focusing about the music industry.

Gilli has studied at NIDA Sydney (Summer workshops), and in Los Angeles at the Howard Fine Studios, Groundlings and Second City and is a Certified Professional Coach with Wainright Coaching International.
