The album "Girl in the Moon" is the perfect blend of charisma and passion. Featured on the CD is "Didgeridoo Dreaming", which is full of lush synthesizers and pulsating bass and percussion.  The song "Walk Away" is a bittersweet breakup ballad that contains the phrase, "I crashed down to the ocean floor- my mistake".  gilli isn't always introspective however.  Taking a funky turn, "I Believe in Love" shows off gilli's sensuous voice. gilli moon was born in Milan, Italy, but grew up in Australia.  At age five she took up classical piano, and by fifteen, she was on her way to becoming an accomplished songwriter.  gilli's songs have been featured worldwide in TV, film, and theatre.  She is now based in L.A., where she was acknowledged as one of the Top Unsigned Artists of Southern California.

With tracks produced by gilli moon and other notable producers in Los Angeles and Sydney, her debut studio album Girl In The Moon received an enormous amount of press, fans from around the globe, and internet promotion. The song "Girl in the Moon" topped internet charts worldwide, including mp3.com in its hay day, while many tracks off the album, Too Much, So Nice, Didgeridoo Dreaming, Feel For You and You Belong to Me,  have debuted in feature films, television programs and won songwriting awards.  

Girl In The Moon was never officially released when gilli moon recorded her first album. Much to the chagrin of her fans and friends, at the time the music industry didn't know quite what to make of gilli's now seemingly ahead of her time first studio album. Ahead of its time?
