J Walker is a spoken word artist and teacher, Gilli Moon is a songwriter. Their collaboration uses hip-hop to try and reach kids with a positive message. The self-explanatory "It's Cool To Be Smart" works the message in assisted by strong beats. "Beautiful" sees Moon singing of learning to be true to yourself despite the pressures of the outside world. Walker's rap adds a nice contrast to the vocal. "Why You Wanna Fight" gets the message of anti-violence across well. Walker has an impressive vocal flow and the beats are good. "Dan The Man" tells of a guy lost in drug abuse and missing out on life. Walker and Moon do a good job of getting to the point. It's a hard genre to tackle, but these two make it work. Their message couldn't be better which is cool also.

The SKILLZ FOR LIFE show is a Powerful and Positive Hip-Hop and Pop performance show for Kidz, youth and people who love music that motivates. Starring J.Walker (the Rhymecologist, hip-hop and spoken word artist) and Gilli Moon (Australian singer-songwriter and educator), the SKILLZ FOR LIFE performance show spotlights songs from their hit youth CD, SKILLZ, into a highly energetic, entertaining and educational visual show. Combine singing, rapping, dancing, story telling and role playing, the duo use the power of hip-hop lyrics and pop melodies to inspire young people and entertain them at the same time. The show is entertaining, energetic and a fun experience, and in conjunction, sends powerful messages that inspire the youth of today. Its core is edu-tainment - educating and inspiring through entertainment. While strong and heartfelt, the messages subtle in approach, disguised through lots of fun and music.

The market audience is youth from ages 8-18 (though very young kids and adults seem to love the show too!) and it runs approximately 30 minutes. The locations of the performances vary from parks, outdoor arenas, schools, social services, Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCAs, youth clubs and private parties and anywhere kidz congregate. One of the first performances was at Pershing Square, Downtown Los Angeles at Downtown on Ice and they have showcased it at various schools throughout Los Angeles. J.Walker and gilli moons Show and CD is not only musically and lyrically on par with the mainstream, it is also a compilation of messages which can make a real difference.

The SKILLZ FOR KIDZ WORKSHOP is a Powerful and Positive interactive songwriting workshop for Kidz, youth and teachers who believe music can motivate.

The mission of the SKILLZ FOR KIDZ WORKSHOP is to use the power of hip-hop and pop lyric and song writing to help young people express, discover and create themselves in positive ways.

Run by J.Walker and gilli moon, the duo can come to your school or center and lead their interactive workshop in which they will teach youth the keys to rhyming and rapping but in a therapeutic way (shhh don’t tell them!) The market audience is youth from ages 8-18 (Basic – 8-11 year olds, Intermediate 12 – 15 year olds, and Advanced 16-18 year olds) and it runs approximately 1.5 hours. The locations of the performances vary from schools, social services, Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCAs, youth clubs and anywhere kidz learn.
